Girl Scouts of Central Indiana

Girl Scouts of Central Indiana:

Girl Scouts of Central Indiana, Inc. began on January 1, 2007. Five councils including the Girl Scouts of Wapehani Council, Inc., Girl Scouts of Hoosier Capital Council (Indianapolis), Girl Scouts of Treaty Line Council (Richmond), Girl Scouts of Covered Bridge Council (Terre Haute), and Girl Scouts of Sycamore Council (Lafayette) have joined to increase their impact on local Girl Scouts. GSCI will cover 35 counties but will retain a strong presence in each county and girls will see expanded opportunities both locally and across the region. The new council will increase capacity and strengthen local programming which helps fulfill the mission of Girl Scouting: Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. With headquarters in Indianapolis locally owned properties include the Girl Scout Service Center at Daleville, Camp Munsee in Selma, Camp Windigo in Upland, and the Marion Cabin in Marion.
