Carey Services - www.careyservices.com Carey Services was established in 1954 through the efforts of parents of persons with disabilities and concerned citizens of our community. Their purpose in 1954 still serves as the underlying philosophy of what drives Carey Services today...To provide opportunities within the community for all persons to reach greater levels of self-sufficiency while working towards their own personal life goals.  

Grant County Society for Crippled Children and Adults, Inc. - In cooperation with other public and private agencies, will provide services to physically handicapped individuals, residing in Grant County, regardless of age, race, color, national origin or creed.  We provide transportation within Grant County and provide equipment and supplies for those permanently or temporarily disabled.

Family Service Society, Inc. views the family primarily in terms of its function in society.  Consequently, we believe a family consists of two or more people, whether living together or apart, related by blood, marriage, or adoption.  We also believe everyone requires and deserves the loving environment of a caring family, which serves as the cornerstone of our mission.

Girl Scouts of Indiana - www.girlscoutsindiana.org Girl Scouts of Central Indiana, Inc. begun January 1, 2007.  Five councils including the Girl Scouts of Wapehani Council, Inc., Girl Scouts of Hoosier Capital Council (Indianapolis), Girl Scouts of Treaty Line Council (Richmond), Girl Scouts of Covered Bridge Council (Terre Haute), and Girl Scouts of Sycamore Council (Lafayette) have joined to increase their impact on local Girl Scouts.  GSCI will cover 35 counties but will retain a strong presence in each county and girls will see expanded opportunities both locally and across the region.  The new council will increase capacity and strengthen local programming which helps fulfill the mission of Girl Scouting: Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.  With headquarters in Indianapolis locally owned properties include the Girl Scout Service Center at Daleville, Camp Munsee in Selma, Camp Windigo in Upland, and the Marion Cabin in Marion. 

 

Grant-Blackford Mental Health Center - Cornerstone - http://www.cornerstone.org Our mission is to provide comprehensive clinical consultation and treatment for people with emotional, mental, behavioral, and substance abuse problems as well as provide timely crisis intervention.


Marion/Grant County Senior Center - www.marionseniorcenter.org To enhance the quality of life for Grant County's senior citizens through social, educational, recreational, nutritional, and health programs.

Services for the Visually and Hearing Impaired, Inc. - 664-9999 “Turning Handicapped into Handicapible!” serving those with sensory loss in the Grant and Blackford County area for many years. Originally an offshoot from the Grant County Workers for the Blind, Mrs. Evelyn Meyer saw a need for the agency to provide service to those with a visual loss and it was largely through her efforts that the agency came into being. When Mrs. Meyer recognized the needs of those with a hearing loss, she incorporated services for those as well.
